Advent events....

I think that I fixed the problem on the blog. I guess I should try to start posting on here again. There is so much going on I miss having a space to write in all down so I can remember all the little day to day things that happen around here. Not to mention the big things.

Dan and I try to make it a point to take each kid out on a "special date" from time to time. Just some one on one time with Mom or Dad. This week I managed to get all three kids in. For Therese's date I took her to the dress rehearsal of the local ballet "Sleeping Beauty". It was so beautiful and grand. Therese loved every second of it and didn't want to leave. (I left at the second intermission because it was already 9pm). Now she wants to grow up and be a ballerina.

Jude started school this week at the local Catholic school and he is loving it. I was worried about how it was going to go but so far so good. This weekend was the Advent program for the preschooler's thru 2nd grade. They did a nice job with a little Christmas Story play and lots of Christmas songs.

Summer pics...

I don't know what is wrong with this thing but it gives me the hardest time now uploading pictures. I must have a setting off or something. Anyway, here are a couple of snapshots from the back yard. Patrick has a thing for shoes. He is always stealing shoes from the front closet and putting them on, no matter how big. He has gotten pretty good at getting around in shoes way to big for him too. It's really funny.

We are reading Harry Potter out loud right now and Jude is loving every minute of it so in true Jude style he dressed up in a cape and made a Harry Potter Lego set , because that's how we roll here at this house. :)

Spring Sun...

Part of me can't believe that we actually made it through the winter. It was epic. It was cold and snowy and seemingly never ending. Even now, in May, the days are cool and breezy with lots of rain. Will summer ever come? We all have our doubts.

In some ways this winter has been a good reflection of our life. This was a really hard move for all of us, with lots of uncertainty and doubts. Many things that we have taken for granted like a good church and new friends to be made have been non- existent here. At least at first. Now with the change of season things are also warming up in our life. We found a beautiful little church that we are loving.  New friends have come into our lives, and we are warming up to this place just and the ground is warming under the suns rays.

Winter makes spring seem so wonderful but without the contrast would spring really be as welcome? I wonder.   This change of season for our life has made us all welcome the blessings that much more. Not to say that I enjoyed the winter but I am able to experience this spring both in life and in weather so much more. I will focus on that today and be grateful, at least for today.

a long break...

Well, I thought I would give it one more try.

It seems like whatever wasn't working fixed itself. I have to say though I didn't really miss blogging. I am busy with life and haven't even thought about it. I will try to get into the swing of things again.

Right now I need to go make dinner but in the meantime I did link my instagram (brand new!!) account up in the corner where it says photos.

Enjoy.

Broken...

I am sorry it has been so long. There is something wrong with either my computer or blogger. I can no longer upload pictures. It keeps kicking me off before they can upload. So I don't know what to do. This has been going on for over a month, I keep trying different things but nothing is working. Maybe it's time I just throw in the towel. I will keep trying to think of something but in the meantime we are all well and healthy.

Jude, Elijah, and Therese are all taking art lessons and loving it. The class is once a week and it works out nice because I get an hour with just Patrick.

The snow and the cold have been EPIC here this year. We are a little sick of winter at this point, I admit. Hopefully we will see temps above 20 degrees in the near future. That would be nice, to be able to go outside for once. The kids are going a little, no, A LOT stir crazy. It doesn't help that we don't know anyone or ever have anywhere to go. Art lessons and the library, that's it. Going to the grocery store is now an adventure, that's how boring we are.

Anyway, that's all for now.
